The citizens in US can have their driving license at 16 years. The teen age is where people don’t want to use anything in cars except the accelerators, rocking the roads in high speeds. More than 5,000 U.S. teens die each year in car crashes. The rate of crashes, fatal and nonfatal, per mile driven for 16-year-old drivers is almost 10 times the rate for drivers ages 30 to 59. Now Ford has come up with a technology called MyKey, to control the speeds of their cars. This is going to get launched as a new feature on an unspecified number of Ford models when the 2010 cars and trucks come out late next summer. The main feature of this technology is that it restricts the car speed at 80 mph (130 kph) limit.

It also has an option of programming the teen’s key to limit the audio system’s volume, and to sound continuous alerts if the driver doesn’t wear a seat belt. Hope this helps in reducing the number of crashes every year.
