According to a recent survey by Staple, about 99% of the SMBs say, they select a retailer online based on free shipping offered by them. Small businesses find say that, saving money and time is imperative, hence they order their business requirements online. It was also found that 46% of them also feel that, it is difficult to run their business without cost-saving benefit.
Small businesses consider both costs and convenience while shopping online. 86 percent of respondents said that time saving is the major benefit obtained by online ordering. 50 percent of the respondents who do not shop online stated it was due to shipping costs and 51 percent find picking up an item in-store, more convenient.
In the survey Going Mobile, by Staples, it was found that small businesses that shop online for three or more times per month are more than twice likely to view that mobile capabilities are very important in their business online than those that place one to two orders online per month. Additionally, 27 percent of the small businesses already have a device capable of making purchases online.
