The entry level qualification for new facilities manager is Level 5 (i.e., B.tech, Higher national Diploma). However, many FM departments offer career development programmes to reduce attrition, thereby keeping recruitment and training costs down.

Complying with regulations was increasing their working day. The budgets available for this work and the time spent by facilities managers are varied across organizations.
d) Supply chain management
Most of the facilities managers used a growing list of multiple supply chain partners and that their relationship with them was becoming increasingly complex. The bundling of Facility Management services is increasing.
