Different methods are available for drug testing and each one has its own advantages and disadvantages.

Urine Drug testing:
Advantages: Performed at any place with help of drug testing kit. Most commonly used test by many of us.
Disadvantages: Possibility of adulteration of specimen, detection of drug is for short period, should have proper bathroom facilities to collect the specimen.

Saliva drug testing:
Advantages: Easy to perform and non-invasive method of drug testing. No separate specimen collection rooms are required and results are available in minutes.
Disadvantages: Most people do not use this drug testing method. Easy adulteration of specimen is possible.

Hair drug testing:
Advantages: Detects drug presence in the body more than 90 days from the day of drug abuse. Chances of adulteration of specimen are very less.
Disadvantages: Requires high laboratory facilities for testing the sample. Detection drugs abused recently is not possible.

Spray/sweat drug testing:
Advantages: Easy to perform and no special specimen collection rooms are required. Detects the drug abused before few weeks.
Disadvantages: High chances of adulteration of specimen are possible.
